Life’s challenges can get you down, especially when you feel as if you’ve been on the battlefield, praying and praying without seeing an answer to your prayers.
Robert Henderson, author of 365 Prayers and Activations for Entering the Courts of Heaven, says when it feels like your prayers haven’t been answered, you need a new plan of attack. Instead of going straight to the battlefield in prayer, you should first enter the courtroom of heaven to petition for your rights.
As a child of God saved by the blood of Jesus, you can approach the courtroom of heaven on any basis. Isaiah 43:26 (NLT) says, “Let us review the situation together, and you can present your case to prove your innocence.” To do that, you petition the court by speaking the Word of God and bringing the Lord’s promises to His remembrance. That is your spiritual right. Then you ask to see the reality of your request become evident in your life.
Although it sounds bold, declarations are a part of the court of heaven. God is gracious and just, and He lets us participate in heaven’s courtroom.
According to Hebrews 12:24, the blood of Jesus speaks legally for us. It cries out for redemption, forgiveness, healing and any need we have. Learn to stand on your rights before the throne.
Understanding the court of heaven and how to function within it can be a spiritual game changer. By determining to engage with God on a daily basis, you can renew your mind and gain great power, strength and confidence in your prayer life. The key is knowing that you must first go into the courtroom and present your case before you go to the battlefield in prayer. Jesus is our example; in Revelation 19:11 we see that He first judges and then makes war.
