The Measure of Faith

For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you-.-.-.-to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. —Romans 12:3

You may say, “How is it possible to believe before you ever come to God?” Because God gave every man the measure of faith (Romans 12:3).

Don’t ever say, “I don’t have faith to be healed, or for my family’s salvation, or for my finances to improve.” God gave you the faith to believe!

You know this is true by the very fact that you are saved. With your heart you believed when you didn’t know anything about God, because He gave you the ability to believe.

Believe what? That God is. Wherever you are, God was there first.

God is not a rewarder of casual acquaintances. His Word was given to us so we could know Him. But don’t base your faith on the Word of God; base it, instead, on the God of the Word.

Seek Him with your whole heart and mind. Seek Him early in the morning and late at night. Seek Him while you are driving and while you work. Seek Him in worship and praise. Seek Him in the Word. Seek Him and live!

Lord, I seek You in every moment of my
life. I seek You not for what You can
do for me but simply for Your
presence. How I long to be
close to You. Amen.
