(PART 1)

The daily concerns of our lives can bog us down to the point that we forget our true dependence is on God. Day by day, minute by minute, we need to abandon the details of our lives to Him.

READ: Ps. 23; Prov. 16:3, 9; Jer. 29:11; Gal. 2:20; Phil. 4:6-7; 1 Tim. 6:6.
HEART ISSUE: What concerns keep you awake at night? Have you offered them to the Lord and let them go?
PRAYER FOCUS: Lord, teach me to “lie down in green pastures.” Help me to abandon all of the details of my life to Your loving care. Amen.

(PART 2)

Abandonment to God is not a fleeting occurrence. It is the lifestyle of a Christian who has forsaken her own will in favor of God’s will in every aspect of her life.

READ: Luke 14:25-27; Rom. 8:12-15; Ps. 37:4-9; Prov. 3:5-6; Matt. 26:39; James 4:13-15.
HEART ISSUE: Have you ever surrendered your will to God and then tried to retrieve it when things became difficult?
PRAYER FOCUS: Lord, You know my heart better than I do. Transform my hopes and dreams to line up with Your perfect will for my life. Amen.
