Emotions Can Derail Your Finances

(Part 1)

We live in a culture of excess. Where is the peace of God in our frantic and frenetic quest for more things? God’s Word will not only help you master your emotions and anxieties over getting more stuff, it will also help you to walk in His wisdom concerning your spending, so you can be blessed.

HEART ISSUE: Ask God to show you any patterns in the way you handle money that could threaten your financial security and prosperity.
PRAYER FOCUS: Father, in Jesus’ name, I thank You for making me a wise steward over my finances. Regardless of my past experiences, I now have a future expectation that all my needs will be met. Amen.

(Part 2)

Do you buy things you don’t really need to make yourself feel better after a lousy day? There is nothing wrong with special treats on occasion, but emotional spending can lead to unnecessary indebtedness. God’s Word has a lot to say about money, and it will help you not to squander the resources He’s entrusted to you.

HEART ISSUE: Ask the Lord to show you the problem areas in your spending and to make you a better and wiser steward over your money.
PRAYER FOCUS: Father, in the name of Jesus, thank You that You have brought order to my life in this area of managing my finances. Thank You for giving me wisdom and helping me to understand that as I walk in obedience, You are enabling my resources to grow beyond my wildest dreams. Amen.
