Prophecy: The Church Must Prepare Itself as God’s Radiant Bride

Who could possibly have anticipated what was to come with this virus plague that has rocked our world? And yet, here we are.

In the past, many of us might have asked the Lord, “Father, with all that has gone on in our world, why don’t you show Yourself more, and why don’t You act?” I think we have our answer, and I don’t want to get into a detailed discussion about exactly who is behind this, but rather to focus on the greater picture as to what this shaking can produce.

But I will say this; nothing happens in our world without God’s foreknowledge. And God wants none to perish, but all to come to the knowledge of the truth.

So if you ask me why this is happening, I would say it is all an act of God’s mercy. Why would I say that? Both the church and the world need to awaken because the judgment is coming!

God says to be more fearful of the one that can take the soul, and it is evident that we all need a wake-up call, but for different reasons. First, for the church to become the radiant bride that we are called to be, and for us to reach the lost; second, for the world to be awakened to salvation before it is too late.

Hebrews 12:26-29 (TLV) says it best, “His voice shook the earth then, but now He has promised, saying, ‘Yet once more I will shake not only the earth, but also the heavens.’ Now this phrase, ‘Yet once more,’ shows the removal of those things that are shaken—that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude—through this we may offer worship in a manner pleasing to God, with reverence and awe. For our God is a consuming fire.”

Since the turn of the century, we have had 9/11, the financial crisis in 2008 and now the coronavirus. Last month I posted a prophecy in Charisma magazine (from a trusted Messianic brother who has chosen to be nameless), which I think you will find quite enlightening as to the warning of these shakings that are now coming upon us to wake us up. It is called “Prophetic Vision: Wrecking Balls Will Shatter Division Among Nations.”

There will be other shakings, and they will intensify, but they will not come all at once. Let us also understand that judgment begins in the house (1 Pet. 4:17), and it is time for the alarm to sound to wake us up in the church. The fundamental principle of any awakening and revival is prayer.

In a matter of moments, God has achieved something mammoth in His ekklesia/church that would take us a lifetime of work even to help bring to pass. He has awakened his body to prayer like never before. Let us hope and pray that the prayer continues, and that it becomes foundational to the new wineskin and the reformation the Lord wants to release to properly ignite the body of Messiah/Christ into all of God’s end-time plans.

In Romans 911-Time to Sound The Alarm!, published in 2018, I spoke about how God will prepare the natural circumstances to bring about His glory plan, and it has begun. However, I do not believe that this is the beginning of the end-time power and glory that is to be released upon us as several church leaders are proclaiming. Not quite yet, anyway.

Instead, it is the beginnings of purification, restoration and reformation needed in the body to help prepare us for that time. “Who may ascend the hill of the Lord? Who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart” (Ps. 24:3-4, MEV). “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise” (Ps. 51:17).

We need to be made ready for perhaps what will be the greatest time for the church ever on the earth, for the love and power of God to be poured out, for the greatest spiritual battles of all time, for Israel’s salvation, the last great harvest of souls and for our Lord’s return. These will not just happen without our intricate involvement in ministry and prayer. For God’s temple upon the earth (His ekklesia/church) needs to be in agreement with our Father’s will. We must adapt and change into our Father’s plans to redeem the earth through Yeshua/Jesus. There is work that needs to be done here for us to be ready!

I don’t think we can expect the world to change that much coming out of this. Instead, I think it will actually get worse, and keep on heating up between light and darkness. Although, praise God, as the shakings intensify, more and more souls will become vulnerable and open to the truth. And because of all of the prayer that is going up to heaven presently, I think we can expect to see smaller revivals along this journey as we come into greater repentance that will lead us to the glory.

Similarly, in the church, we will either be hot or not, for the Lord is calling us to Himself, wholeheartedly (Num. 14:24). The virgin lamps must be filled with oil, or they will not make it. While we know that the last great outpouring of the Holy Spirit will be most glorious, these days will also be challenging for those of us in the kingdom of God, and there will be a falling away (Matt. 24:10-12, 22).

This is why now, more than ever before, we need to humble ourselves in repentance and mourning in how the church has been, and seek the Lord for the reform and end-time plans He has to return His Son to the world.

If you want to find out more about this new wineskin and reformation, I will be joining with Jonathan Friz, the leader from 10 Days of Prayer (10day.net), and several other national leaders to host a Zoom Summit on revelation, repentance and reformation for the church on Saturday, May 30, from 12-3 pm EST.

We will also be praying in an Upper Zoom format for the 10 Days of Prayer (24/10) prior to Shavuot/Pentecost with believers from all around the world. Please join us. Please click here to access the flyer sign up for the Zoom link. {eoa}

Author/speaker Grant Berry, founder of Reconnecting Ministries and Messiah’s House Messianic Center, trumpets his new book, Romans 911—Time to Sound the Alarm! Grant is a Messianic believer in Yeshua, Jesus, and is promoting a new message into the body of Messiah, Christ, during these last days, known as “the reconnection.” This is a new term used to describe the reuniting and full restoration of Jewish and Gentile believers into John 17 unity into the one new man now that Israel’s awakening is upon us. This spiritual transaction has been unseen during most of the church age but is now most vital for the church to move into for God’s end-time plans. It is a power key to the last great revival and final outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the earth. For more information and a special offer on Romans 911, please visit reconnectingministries.org.
