Recently while in worship, I kept seeing the same scene of a bride walking under an archway. When I looked up what this arch represents in the context of a marriage ceremony, I found:
“The arch is a symbol of the future home the bride and groom will start their family in. In Jewish customs it is called a “chuppah.” The literal translation of “chuppah” is “blanket” or “protection” and designates the canopy the couple stands under during their wedding ceremony.
Then the Lord led me to this Scripture:
“Then the Lord will create upon every dwelling place of Mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day and the shining of a flaming fire by night. For over all the glory shall be a covering” (Isaiah 4:5, MEV).
I believe God is affirming Himself to you in this season as the strong defender God He is—the Safe Refuge, the Strong Tower, your Safety and Rear Guard, your Protector and Justification.
Where you have been facing insurmountable opposition and attack, He is revealing His Mighty Hand to shield you, cover you and show Himself strong on your behalf.
You are not defeated! By night, His fire rages on and His glory is over your life. It says to any threatening force, “you cannot come this way!”
“Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name” (Ps. 91:14, MEV).
His Banner Over Me
After I wrote this down, I felt wave after wave of His affection and heard the Scripture in Song of Solomon 2:4: “He has brought me to His banquet house, and His banner over me is love” (MEV).
Then I was led to a portion of Isaiah 59:19: “So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west and His glory from the rising of the sun; when the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him” (MEV).
Many of you need to know who is championing you and who is really the one fighting the battle. The Word even says “the day of battle is the Lord’s.”
Do not be afraid as He shifts things around you, shutting off every pathway and door the enemy has had access to influence, intimidate and disable you.
He is raising up His banner of LOVE over us in this season to dispel every onslaught of the enemy to rob us from moving forward! {eoa}
