Pastor Michael Todd of Transformation church in Oklahoma says we need to try to view the COVID-19 pandemic in light of God’s mercy.

“I just want to be the one that lets you know it’s going to be OK,” Todd says. “The same way God has seen us through every other season of our life, He’s going to see us through this. … Many churches cannot meet in physical locations right now, but it may be God’s mercy setting us up, to be ready even in this moment for another disaster or a persecuted church. …

“What God is saying is, ‘Everything that’s inside of you, I want you to prove it in this moment. This is when you prove you have faith. This is when you prove you have love. This is when you prove that you’re actually generous.’ … Some of you are going to find purpose in the midst of this pandemic. Some of you are going to find a new vigor for life, a new passion on the other side of this.”
