White House Staff Member Calls for Urgent ‘Esther Fast’ Over Trump

I just returned from a trip to Washington, D.C., to pray for our nation. While there our team met with leaders in various positions of government and as well as some White House staff—people who meet with the president on a regular basis.

One was an “Esther” in the White House, who has worked closely with President Trump and his family. They expressed great concern for the increased attacks and threats against him and have called for a corporate Esther fast from Nov. 2-5.

The fast is specifically to pray for the safety and protection of President Trump and his family. The timing of this fast is 365 days before the 2020 election.

What is an “Esther” fast? It refers to the Scripture in Esther 4:16a in which the Jewish people were facing slaughter. Esther pleaded with her uncle to gather their people together in corporate intercession for protection. They were to abstain from eating or drinking for three days as they prayed and interceded.

“Go, gather all the Jews who can be found in Susa, then fast for me. Stop eating and drinking for three days, night or day. I and my young women will fast likewise.”

Please join us for this important corporate three-day fast to see this assignment of destruction against President Trump’s life and his family broken. Please begin to pray even now for those who mean to harm our president and his family, that they will be exposed and their plan stopped.

(Note: While some may not be able to join a full Esther fast due to medical conditions, we can all fast in some way as we pray. The power of corporate prayer cannot be understated. Deuteronomy 32:30 tells us that one can put a thousand to flight, but two, ten thousand. How much more if we come together as a nation?)
