Anne Graham Lotz: The Magnificent Obsession

Anne Graham Lotz, daughter of evangelist Billy Graham, challenges believers to develop a lifelong obsession with the Father in her new book, The Magnificent Obsession. She says every Christian was born to passionately pursue and embrace a God-filled life.

“It all comes down to knowing God as Abraham did —as His dear friend —and we can all experience that kind of relationship,” the author says.

Lotz has spent decades studying Abraham and explains in her book how his life exemplifies the model spiritual walk for every Christian. Lotz not only uncovers the Old Testament patriarch’s faults and extreme faith, she also demonstrates how his life can apply to everyday culture. Central themes throughout The Magnificent Obsession include letting go of personal possessions, patience and relocating.

Says Lotz: “Since nothing is wrong with God, if we don’t know Him the way that Abraham did, there must be something wrong with the way we live out the Christian life.”
