Go Global This Christmas

We need your help to make Charisma available to readers around the world.
The advent of the Internet gives us ways to reach around the world we
never imagined a few years ago. With broadband access we can now
publish our magazines in a digital format as well as in print. So
beginning with the next issue of Charisma, a digital version will be available.

Eventually only paid subscribers will have access to it. But while
it’s still new, we are providing it to readers for free. All you must
do to receive it is sign up here.

One of the main reasons we are digitizing the magazine is to make it
more accessible around the world. Our theme for 2009 is “Go global.” We
expect to begin publishing African versions in addition to the Spanish
and Indonesian versions already being produced. But many
English-speaking people who don’t currently receive it would like to
read our North American version.

We know that print copies of the magazines circulate for months and
years in places such as Africa. So at the same time that we’re
advertising our new digital versions in both Charisma
and Ministry Today, we are also seeking the means to make the print
version available to many more readers, and we need your help.

We know that missionaries like to read Charisma to keep up
with what’s going on around the world and back home. Typically, they
share their copies with many others. We’d like to just give them the
magazine but can’t due to postal regulations.

If a missionary pays for his subscription, the post office assumes
he wants it, and the postage is subsidized by the government. But to
discourage publishers from sending magazines overseas that are not
wanted, the postage on “free” versions is sky-high.

However, if you give to Charisma to help cover the expenses,
we will make the magazine available to missionaries, soldiers and
others overseas. We’ll do it for only the raw cost-$25 per subscription
for paper, printing and postage-and will take nothing out for overhead.
Please send your gift of $25 for each complimentary subscription you’d
like to fund to our nonprofit partner, Christian Life Missions, at P.
O. Box 952248, Lake Mary, FL 32795-2248; or click here, click on “You can help,” and select project Go Global to make a secure online donation.

What a wonderful way to bless someone at Christmastime! Of course we hope you’ll also give Charisma
gift subscriptions to your family and friends. Thousands of you do.
It’s the gift that keeps giving all year long. This year, give a little
extra and help us make the magazine “go global.”

Meanwhile, check out our ever-growing and improving Web site and our eight free e-newsletters, including my own weekly Strang Report,
which deals with the issues of the day. I’ve been amazed at how fast
the list for that report has grown and how many readers forward my
e-mails to others. Even more amazing is that thousands of them have
left comments on the blog for the Strang Report and also on our general forums, here.

We have a vision to grow our e-newsletter subscriber lists to 1
million, and we need your help to get the word out. If you haven’t
already, click here
to subscribe to them. They will keep you informed about what the Holy
Spirit is doing around the world and about what you can do to deal with
the serious issues we all face during these difficult times. Then tell
your friends to subscribe as well. When you’re on the Web site, you can
also opt in for the digital version of Charisma.

Speaking of difficult times, the recent financial crisis prompted
John Hagee, pastor of Cornerstone Church in San Antonio and our
best-selling author, to publish a book titled Financial Armageddon,
which just reached the bookstores and is beginning to take off. He has
the scriptural perspective on what is happening. You can find out more
about the book, download a sample and purchase it by visiting our Web
site.

These are trying times that test our faith and cause us to grow
spiritually. The world is looking for answers. God has them, and our
organization is focused on encouraging God’s people and on spreading
the news of the Holy Spirit’s work far and wide.

This Christmas, please stand with us to achieve our vision of “going
global.” Your generosity will play an important role in the end-time
harvest.
