Prophetic Word: ‘Where Is the Zeal for My House?’

by | Mar 3, 2021 | Blogs, Prophetic Fire

“For the zeal of Your house has consumed me, and the insults of those who insulted You fell on me” (Ps. 69:9).

What is it that stirs your soul to stand against the enemies of God? What reason do you have to raise your voice and cry for justice? Is it a mere idea that you hold dear? A just cause you uphold?

What is it that burns in your belly that would cause you to cry out for those who are being sacrificed at the altar of Baal? What does it take for you to rise up and take action against those who defy the Lord by eating their own children and drinking their own blood?

Justice has been turned back at the nation’s gate. Righteousness stands far away, and truth has stumbled in public squares, all for the love of mammon and a bloodthirsty addiction for power. The sins of this nation go far beyond immorality, lying and cheating. The iniquities that have fallen upon this land go far beyond thievery, debauchery and idolatry that are openly displayed with pompous pride.

No—the blood that has been taken and spilled on this land has been draining into the seas of the earth, and the cup of iniquity is full. The Lord’s fury has been stirred, and He has wrapped Himself in zeal as a cloak and determined to repay; wrath to His adversaries and repayment to His enemies, for it is His justice that must prevail (Isa. 59:14-19)

Weak men do not speak of His wrath for they do not know what fuels His fire. His wrath is not a product of His anger, unrestrained temper, nor is it any lack of compassion. The Holy One of Israel is love itself, complete and whole, without any fault. It is this very compassion and intense love for His children that kindles His fury and ignites His anger against those who seek to take them and destroy them for lust and treacherous sedition.

It is His very love that draws Him into battle when the enemy has crossed the line. It is this holy fire and burning passion that compels Him to act with His own right arm against those who deliberately defy His name without shame (Isa. 40:10).

It is the purity and holiness of the Lord that Lucifer seeks to mock. Knowing he cannot touch the throne and is forever denied access to paradise, this devil has determined from the beginning to poison men with his demand for blood. He has sought his own bloodline of murderous sons from the time of Cain.

To claim the earth as his own possession, the father of lies has been taking blood any way he can. In order to mock the purity of the Creator, he robs the innocence from the children of God—the younger, the better. This demand for blood has now reached the fullness of time and the champion of hosts, the man of war is coming to avenge His foes.

“Lord, Your hand is lifted up, but they do not see it. They see Your zeal for the people and are put to shame; the fire of Your enemies shall devour them” (Isa. 26:11).

The spirit of unbelief that has plagued this land is not merely unbelief in God’s purposes, God’s presidents or God’s timing. The unbelief that is blinding many to the true nature of this battle is the reality and depth of Lucifer’s treason. Many cannot believe that men could be so wicked as to inflict perpetual pain upon the weakest and the most vulnerable among us. They cannot imagine the level of dark magic that is practiced against the children of God in the deepest pits of depravity.

And this is not by the unenlightened or uninformed, but by the very ones we have trusted and even idolized. It is the very ones who we have followed and believed in that have deceived our minds and hypnotized our souls in order to lure us into a trap of allusion and ease. It is the very appeal for popularity and platform that men’s minds have been lulled to sleep in search of position and reputation. And yet, they have merely been following a pied piper that has been leading them to pits of despair and damnation never before imagined.

Though it is right and fitting to be passionate for revival and stirred for awakening, this is the hour when the zeal of the Lord must arise in order to cleanse the earth of the villainous crimes and the stench of death that has reached heaven’s courts. It is only when one is ready to see the depth of hell’s mutiny and treason that true belief in heaven’s plans can come forth. It is only when believers rise up as one in defiance of the demonic death sentence issued against us that this heavenly zeal can ignite our hearts and usher in the glory of His presence and the righteousness of His throne.

Allow the zeal for His house to consume you. Let the fire of God burn within your soul to fuel your prayers and sound forth a battle cry that shatters the darkness. Let the saints of God rise up and show ourselves strong against these spiritual forces that rise against us. This is not the hour to retreat from the battle.

This is not the hour to back down in our prayers. This is the hour of His vengeance, says the Lord. This is the hour when God’s own right arm will avenge His foes and destroy the works of darkness. We must stand in the gap and announce that justice is coming, the fear of the Lord is about to fall and all will declare that He alone is King of the earth and Lord of all creation.

“According to their deeds, accordingly He will repay: fury to His adversaries, recompense to His enemies; to the islands He will make recompense. So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west and His glory from the rising of the sun; when the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him” (Isa. 59:18-19). {eoa}

Why Partial Obedience to God is Disobedience

Why Partial Obedience to God is Disobedience

My husband had a saying for our children growing up. “Partial obedience is disobedience.” He wanted them to understand that doing half the plan would not get them the full reward. Another reminder we used to tell our kids was, “Don’t think about it, don’t hesitate,...

Can You Discern Spiritual Wind?

The wind is a funny thing. We do not know where it comes from nor where it goes. We cannot see it, but we can see and feel its effects. Wind can be gentle and refreshing, cold or hot, strong, and dangerous, and everything in between. When the wind blows, we must...

Messianic Rabbi: He That Has an Eye, Let Him Hear

It is interesting that, as a Messianic rabbi the question I am asked most often by Christians is if I believe that they as Christians have to celebrate, or observe, the biblical Holy Days. They are usually asking about those days listed in Leviticus 23: Shabbat, Yom...

The Biblical Way to Rise Above Mediocre Expectations

The Biblical Way to Rise Above Mediocre Expectations

We spend a lot of life figuring out if we “measure up,” a phrase someone coined in the mid-1800s. Even in childhood, we begin comparing ourselves with siblings and kids at school, and it never seems to stop. The problem goes back to Cain and Abel, doesn’t it? Most of...

A Better Way to Witness to Others for Christ

”Don’t you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant, and patient God is with you? Does this mean nothing to you? Can’t you see that his kindness is intended to turn you from your sin?” (Rom. 2:4). Looking retrospectively at my past as an atheist, I can see where God...

Why Does God Want Us to Speak with Tongues?

Why speak with tongues? There are many reasons for speaking in a spiritual language. Primarily, though, the Scriptures require it. The apostle Paul commanded us, saying, “Pray in the Spirit always” (Eph. 6:18). Jude commanded it in verse 20, saying, “Pray in the Holy...

Why God’s Rebuilding is Better Than His Restoration
