Prophetic Word: The Lord Says, ‘You Can Overcome the Spirit of Intimidation’

Beloved, do you struggle with getting intimidated by the things you need to get done? If so, you have to understand that spiritual warfare is at play here—and you are actually facing the spirit of intimidation.

Nevertheless, the Lord wants you to know today that, in Christ Jesus, you are the victor over the spirit of intimidation!

I heard the Lord say:

“You have been intimidated for too long, and I desire to help you break free from that.

You may not know it, but the spirit of intimidation is one of the most successful strategies the enemy has launched against you. You have been giving in to it for years. However, the access that the spirit of intimidation has into your life ends today if you will heed Me and obey what I tell you.

Intimidation will rob you of three important things if you listen to it:

  1. It will rob you of your boldness.
  2. It will rob you of the great exploits that I desire you to do.
  3. It will rob you of your peace, for it keeps you from doing things that need to be done—and thereby stresses you out.

A lack of peace will then rob you of your health, your encouragement, your enthusiasm and even your self-control.

Intimidation is a slippery slope. It is not one of the enemy’s smaller minions; it is a principality that should have no access into your life whatsoever, but is one of the most destructive forces the enemy has launched against My church.

But I can free you from intimidation, and I will if you will listen to Me.

First, you need to understand that the spirit of intimidation partners with fear. However, I have not given you a spirit of fear—but of power, love and a sound mind. Remember this; stand firm in faith in My Word.

Next, know that intimidation tries to show you the worst-case scenario. The principality of intimidation tries to tell you that things will be bad, bad, bad. It tries to convince you that everything will be hard; that you will lose; that you will go under.

Nevertheless, have I not told you that you will have good success if you listen and obey My Word?

Have I not told you that you will go over, and not under? Have I not told you that I will help you; that I will never leave you nor forsake you? Have I not guaranteed your success?

And, do I not work and win, even in the darkest hour? I tell you, I do; I have; and I will!”

I hear the Lord say:

“My Word is the first key to overcoming the spirit of intimidation.

You must hide My Word in your heart as it pertains to your success, My help and Our victory—for My victory is yours in My Son Jesus!

This means whatever you do shall prosper. It means in whatever you undertake, you shall win. And it means that I will be with you to help you, giving you grace that even makes hard things easy—if you will believe Me for it.

You also need to understand the second key to overcoming the spirit of intimidation.

The second key to overcoming the spirit of intimidation is found in Zechariah 4:6-7, which says:

“And he said to me: ‘This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel, saying: Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of Hosts. Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will be made level ground, and he will bring out the top stone amidst shouting of ‘Grace! Grace to the stone!’ ”

Nothing you do is by your own power anyway; without Me you can literally do nothing. My grace is what makes it all happen!

Therefore, does it make any sense to be intimidated by large things? I—the same God who helps you breathe—am with you to help you do small things and big things alike.

Big things and small things are all alike to Me; they take no more of My exertion than creating a galaxy does. My power is limitless; nothing can tax it or strain it.

Nothing can tax or strain My power in you either.

The only time you can be taxed or strained is when you take your eyes off Me. Remember Peter, who was well able to do the miraculous—walking on water—as long as He kept His eyes on My Son Jesus. But what happened when he removed his eyes from My Son? He sank!

You know that story well, but you have not put the pieces together before now. I—the same God who empowered Peter to walk on water—am in you right now, and I am here to do everything through you today that needs to be done. I am here inside you right now to do even the miraculous!

So much of the practical life of power is already in you. The pieces you have lacked are:

—An understanding of the enemy’s attack against you.

—An acknowledgement that you have not yet grasped My Word to help you in this area.

—A total focus and concentration on Me in you, instead of looking at the thing with which the enemy is trying to intimidate you.

My child, I need you to recalibrate your paradigm.

Instead of thinking that something is going to be bad, believe that it will be good. Believe My Word that I will help you. Believe that it will be easy—and that I will make it so, even if a thing would be difficult to anyone else.

My beloved, I am with you to keep you.

I will not suffer your foot to slip. This means intimidation and the spirit of intimidation truly have no place in you. Rise up, My beloved, and become who you are: a supernatural being, My child, filled with My light, love and power.

Rise up and refuse to be intimidated any longer. Arise and eat; taste and see that I am good; you are blessed because you trust in Me (see Ps. 34:8).

Go forth and prosper in power.

Love, Abba God, your Heavenly Daddy.”

Thank You, Abba Father!

My friend, is the Lord speaking to you through this word today? If so, stop a moment and give Him praise!
