The Spirit of the Lord spoke to me while I was in prayer concerning this new season that we are entering into as the body of Christ. He began to give me revelation about what this new season will look like, and He showed me it out of the book of 2 Kings 6. We are in a prophetic moment in history where the cries of God’s people are ascending to the ears of the Lord, and He is responding to them. The wisdom of the Lord is being released to those who have an ear to hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying. God spoke to me that our decisions would determine our destinies. The enemy is after our decisions and wants to alter the plan of God for our lives. God began to reveal to me that there were many of His people feeling complacent, content, restricted and limited.
These Spirit-filled believers were doing what they were called to do but felt like guinea pigs on a wheel. The wheel is designed for health and fitness for the animal, but it is also dangerous because they can become stuck or entangled unable to move. The visual picture has been like many of God people in the last season of their lives. Many have felt stuck in between seasons, exerting a lot of energy but feel like there isn’t any movement, growth, expansion and productivity.
Oftentimes we receive prophetic words that God is going to do great things in our lives, and right after those powerful prophetic words, we find ourselves in some spiritual warfare or a battle. I believe this is a sign that God is behind the scenes working on our behalf and sending His angels to war over your destiny. Many people are stuck in seasons because they lack the prophetic forecast to know what is next and what to do when “next” comes.
I believe prophetically we are coming into not only our next season but entering into the season of now. Our next season will be the now season we have been waiting on. It will require radical faith to shift us into our now season of God. Hebrew 11:1 says, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” It will require “now faith” to receive what God has for you as the evidence of the things of God.
Recognizing the Season to Shift
“Now the sons of the prophets said to Elisha, “Look, the place where we are living with you is too small for us” (2 Kings 6:1).
The sons of the prophets were in a new season of open enrollment of the school of the prophets semester overseen by the Dean and Chancellor Elisha—the senior prophet. They were able to discern that the place where they dwelt was too small for living. One of the things God has been dealing with many of His people is that they feel that where they are is too small for them to stay. The dormitory of the Prophetic University of higher prophetic learning was overcrowded, and they needed to shift. God was saying this is the season to shift places where you are and focus on expanding, enlarging and growing. Many are frustrated with the season that they are in because they have outgrown the level, space and place that they were currently occupying.
The Lord said that this is the season that He is going to bring many of you into another space in Him. Get ready to shift gears into another phase of your acceleration into your destiny and purpose. There are people who felt like they have been in a holding pattern, but it was still orchestrated by the Lord. God is going to give His people the grace for the space that they entering into. This is the time to shift with the move of the Spirit. God spoke to me and said that there are those who feel their season is up and felt like the prophet Elijah where the brook has dried up. God sent the ravens to feed and provide provision for the prophet (read I Kings 17:1-7). Get ready to shift to expand in the things of God.
Recognizing the Season to Expand
“Let us go to the Jordan and take from there one beam per man, and let us make for ourselves a place to live there.”
And Elisha said, “Go” (2 Kings 6:2).
As the sons of the prophets were able to recognize the season to shift God is saying to many of His people that they are “too big to remain small.” You have been anointed and called to advance and expand the kingdom of God for Christ. There is more to you than where you are currently. God is going to make you the head and not the tail, first and not last, above and not beneath, lender and not a borrower. As God is shifting many of you, transition is not always easy or even an option.
I believe this is a season to move with the winds of change. The prophetic campuses increased that created a demand for more space. I believe the anointing and call on your life will create your own space and economy. The school of the prophets were in different locations; Gilgal, Bethel and Jericho. Moreover, the schools expanded because enrollment increased. Get ready for sudden increase and multiplication upon the works of your hands. God is going to give you the space to create your new place of expansion.
Recognize the Season to Occupy
Then one of them said, “Please come with your servants.”
And he said, “I will come.” So he went with them.
And they came to the Jordan and cut down trees (2 Kings 6:3-4).
God is going to permit many of you to create your own space with His grace on your life to live in the place. This is your time to occupy the new place called Jordan. Jordan is the place of commissioning, elevation, affirmation, crossing over and acceleration. This new season will be a season of shifting, expanding and occupying.
“So he called his ten servants and entrusted to them ten pounds and said to them, ‘Trade until I come'” (Luke 19:13).
To occupy is “to transact business” for kingdom purposes. God is going to cause many of you to live in a realm of blessings, provision, prosperity and protection because of your obedience to the voice of God and shift with the season. It’s moving time! {eoa}
