Does Visiting a Doctor Signal You Don’t Believe God Can Heal You?

Read this before you answer.

Judy asks: “Becky, when does one check things out with a doctor?”

Judy, this is one of those questions that I am asked often, and for good reason, there is so much confusion concerning faith and divine healing. I hope to be able to bring a little clarification to the matter.

God is not against doctors. God gave them the knowledge and ability to help the human body. But even with all of their knowledge and ability, they fall short of being able to help all. A wise doctor will recognize that there is a “Great Physician,” who created the human body and is able to heal it as well.

I have one whole chapter in my book; Dare to Believe, based on the book of Luke. Luke gives us an amazing account of the life of Jesus, as the Healer. Interestingly enough, Luke who was chosen by God to write this book in the New Testament was a physician himself (Col. 4:14).

Judy, whenever you feel the need to go to see a doctor, “Go.” God wants you to prosper in spirit, soul and body. He wants you well. He will meet your faith wherever you are at. Be free, and don’t be bogged down by guilt and condemnation. He truly wants you well.

3 John 1:2 says, “Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, even as your soul is well.”

But remember, God’s best is always divine healing. He’s the Creator of the human body. He’s the Great Physician, and with Him, there is never a hopeless situation. His diagnosis is always correct. Instead of repairing or replacing with artificial parts, He recreates a new part for you. There’s no risk of infection, or rejecting new body parts. His work is perfect. There’s no haggling with insurance companies, because it has all been covered by His blood, and for you the price is just right, it’s free. {eoa}
