With so much manifesting in the earth, it is so easy to give our attention to what the enemy is roaring and raging in the earth. He’s prowling around “like” a lion, seeking whom he may devour. We see news reports of death, sickness, famine, economic pressures, political divisiveness, disease and so much more. My friends, can I encourage you to shift your heart and lean in to hear the loudest roar, the authentic roar of the Lion of Judah? Isaiah 43:19 (NIV): “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” This new thing is packed with a double anointing for those who will press in and have eyes to see and pray for the new thing our beautiful Lord is doing.
A promise of double is being manifested for those who have lost in previous seasons. I have been sensing it, hearing it and now it is upon us.
I was recently traveling with my family to New York City. When we got settled into our room, I noticed that a pair of earrings I had carried on the flight were missing. I truly loved these earrings and I only packed two pairs for my trip, so you can imagine my disappointment as I did not find what I was expecting to be with me in my transition.
After this discovery, I had a thought. Go back to the place where I had purchased these earrings online to see if they were still in stock and, to my surprise, they were. Yes! I added them to my online cart. While online, I noticed that there was a sale on the item and I could get two pairs instead of one (2 for the price of 1)!
But wait; there is more. Not only was I able to receive double but I noticed there was bonus cash attached to my account that was not there before. I had the exact amount that was needed to replace what was lost plus the extra pair for FREE! No toil in the recovery of what I lost during my flight transition. Here is the thing: It was just an earring but it meant something to me. I do not like losing anything and if you’re like me, neither do you. So many of us have lost something at one time or another. However, we have a heavenly Father who is a restorer.
In this moment, I heard the Lord so gently speak and highlight this moment. He said, “This is what I am doing in your life now. I am replacing what was lost during the transition because you choose to follow Me. I am giving you double back. It will be My recompense and it will not cost you anything. The thief has been caught (Prov. 6:30-32). A thief can’t be caught until someone recognizes that something has been stolen and you have seen the things he has taken, and now I want you to decree My double.” I believe this word is for many of you right now.
Double, Recompense, Reward
Hebrews 10:35 (KJV): “Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.” Look for it! Joel 2:25 (KJV): “And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.”
“Return to your stronghold, O prisoners of hope; today I declare that I will restore to you double” (Zech. 9:12, ESV).
I stepped into this moment with the Lord, as I believe we should always have eyes to see and ears to hear. The Lord began to reveal so much in this moment.
