The beginning of the year is usually filled with great anticipation, expectation and appreciation. However, this year has been a bit different for me. Many great doors opened, but the spiritual warfare found behind them was not ordinary.
When you have a call of God upon your life, Satan will do everything within his power to keep you from your divine destiny. The Bible lets us know that many are called, but few are chosen (Matt. 22:14). This is primarily due to many not answering the call because the enemy has tied up the line!
What I mean by this is that the closer you are to your mandate or mission, the more intensified the attacks will be. The year 2019 exemplified this for me and many other believers who I’ve encountered. I believe that, like Jesus’ disciples, we should rejoice in the midst of demonic attacks; but I know it’s easier said than done.
Many of you who are reading this have been through warfare that has not been ordinary. The Lord showed me that the last few months of 2019 would be a time of emboldened, strategic warfare that would originate from the devil that was very different from the normal battles that we face as Christians. It would be an intense time of unusual warfare that would come from unexpected places, people and things, especially during the month of December.
Let me tell you, it has been crazy!
Decree Your Victory Before You See It
Personally, there have been attacks from the inside and outside that I didn’t see coming. Can you relate? There have been major attacks on my body, church and ministry. I’ve had close friends totally misunderstand me, loved ones pass away, family members stricken with illness and so on. I could go on and on. I believe that some of you can as well.
What I’ve noticed throughout this particular battle is that those who really love you will support you through it all. I am grateful for them and you should be too. During this time, you may experience a spirit of loneliness, even while you’re among a group of people. This is a major part of Satan’s strategy. He wants you to believe that you’re all alone in this unusual war, but I’m here to tell you that you’re not. Though this attack is not ordinary, you will make it through. The secret is found within your decree.
“Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways” (Job 22:28, KJV).
Though the attacks are coming fast and hard, you must consistently decree the Word of God, by faith, to counteract the assault of the enemy. When words are decreed, they are established.
Along with that establishment comes power. When combined with the matchless and mighty name of Jesus, you become a force to be reckoned with—a threat to the kingdom of darkness. It’s your season to put the devil on the run. This is the time that he will run (flee) from you instead of the opposite way around. Glory to God!
This Too Shall Pass
Remember, as mentioned previously, these times of testing can be quite lonely, but you must realize that you’re never truly alone. I want to encourage those who are going through the same, unusual war that I am. This too shall pass! The Lord is always with you even through this warfare that’s not ordinary! You will make it through! Please understand that losing a battle here and there does not mean you’ve lost the war! Jesus won every war just for you!
Run Into 2020
The devil’s plan is to have you limp into 2020, but he is a liar. He’s trying to get you to believe you’re impaired, when God’s plan is for you to walk or run into the next year unimpaired. Who am I talking to right now? Who is crazy enough to believe the Lord with me that they will go into 2020 healthy, wealthy and wise?
The people who know their God is strong and will do exploits (Dan. 11:22). I decree a new season of divine exploits that will cause you to elevate in Him. I declare that the weight of your blessing will increase in 2020 due to the immense warfare experienced in 2019. It will be the year of your decrees manifesting as never before! Don’t limp into the new year, run in.
God Counted You In
Remember, the devil fights hard, but he doesn’t fight long! Be encouraged! You may have lost a battle or two in this unusual warfare, but you’ve already won the war through Christ Jesus. Give Him the glory even before the seen victory manifests! During the battle, some have counted you out, but God has counted you in. He’s ready to bless you so that all can see it in 2020.
