An Urgent Call to God’s Warriors of Righteousness to Fight the Good Fight Against Evil

by | May 25, 2022 | Spiritual Warfare

We are in a fight for our freedom. America has been in this war for independence before. It is why we are a nation.

My question to each of us is this: Where are the warriors, the courageous difference-makers who will fight for justice and righteousness? We need to look at our own history as our road map now to save this nation, as time is quickly running out.

This week, from May 22 to May 28, the sovereignty of America’s health decisions has been put up for a vote thanks to the Biden administration, which proposed amendments to allow the World Health Organization to declare health emergencies and make decisions over us—along with the additional 193 member states that belong to this globalist-led coalition.

That is not our only fight for freedom. Let’s also consider that since 1973, the rights and justice of the unborn have been trampled underfoot as 60 million-plus children have been sacrificed by abortion in the name of a mother’s “right.” As America stands on the precipice of overturning the horrific Roe v. Wade ruling, groups intent on insurrection and subverting the upcoming vote stand waiting to unleash violence and chaos.

Even now, anti-life activists illegally protest in front of the homes of the five Supreme Court justices who have said they will vote to overturn Roe. The protestors claim it is a “victimless crime.” I doubt the justices and their families, who have had to move and go under 24-hour security for protection, would agree. What is our role as these events continue to unfold?

For too long we have watched as “Justice is turned back, and righteousness stands far away; for truth has stumbled in the street, and uprightness cannot enter” (Isa. 59:14, NASB1995).

It is imperative that we remember our own history in order to understand our present role in this time of crisis.

In America’s fight for independence from England, a strategic group stood in the way of Britain’s success. This group, known as the Black-Robed Regiment, hindered Britain’s ability to keep us enslaved to their tyrannical leadership.

The term was actually coined by the British. It referred to pastors who stood in their pulpits week after week first preaching the Word and then applying its truth to the social ills and enslavement of the day.

Some engaged in physical battle, like Rev. Peter Muhlenberg, who after preaching a message, took off his black robe, grabbed his musket and actually led a regiment in the Continental Army. Most clergy, however, used their position in the pulpit to fight for freedom with their voices as they shared about social issues and social ills with their congregation members and instructed them to get involved.

Where is our Black-Robed Regiment today, and those in the pews who are willing to stand and fight for our nation? For if we do not fight for our nation now, we will not have a nation for which to fight.

The role of those courageous patriot pastors was so significant that the British actually blamed them for America gaining her independence. Sadly, today’s Christians seem confused about the role of the church and whether it is even our right to fight for our nation under the premise of the “separation of church and state.” Hosea 4:6 makes it clear that God’s people perish for lack of knowledge. Pastors and Christians who claim we should remain silent in the church lack knowledge.

The term “separation of church and state” did not originate in the Constitution. It was a comment Thomas Jefferson made in a letter to the Danbury Baptists in which he expressed concern that the government would encroach upon the rights of the church. Obviously, his concerns were well founded. After years of indoctrination the church has meekly swallowed the often-spoken lie to believe that the Constitution mandates we (the church) are to remain out of government. It should be just the opposite.

Not only is the separation of church and state untrue, but the Greek word for the church is ekklesia, which was not a religious term but originated from the Roman government referring to a governing body. That is who the church is supposed to be. Where are those warriors of righteousness?

Consider for a moment what would have happened if the Black-Robed Regiment pastors had not gotten involved. What if the congregation members who were stirred by their words had not gotten involved in America’s fight for freedom? There would be no America today.

Today we find ourselves in the same war for independence—just replace the role of the British back in the day with today’s globalists. Progressive globalists seek to enslave us to the U.N., bankrupt our nation and people, and silence our voices, because they feel if they can eliminate America, nothing more will stand in the way of their global dominance. This is a battle as old as time.

What is our role today? What are we going to do about it? I believe our answer is found in Proverbs 21:3, where we are instructed, “To do righteousness and justice is desired by the Lord more than sacrifice.”

The word “do” in that verse is an unclear verb, but it is actually pregnant with meaning. It is the Hebrew word asah, which means to “accomplish, advance, become, bring forth, have the charge of, execute, exercise, feast on, govern, grant, keep, labor [for], perform, practice, prepare, procure, take and be a warrior for” (emphasis added).

Our instruction to “do” righteousness and justice tells us to be warriors for the cause of justice and actually put it on like a piece of armor so that we become it, bring it forth, labor for it and procure it. This is our call to be warriors for justice and righteousness.

We have a choice: Will we remain silent as the globalists hope we will? Or will we stand up and fight for our nation and our freedom as our forefathers courageously did?

“I will make justice the measuring line and righteousness the level; then hail will sweep away the refuge of lies and the waters will overflow the secret place” (Isa. 28:17, NASB 1995). {eoa}
