The Price of Glory

And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses’ hand-.-.-.-that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him. —Exodus 34:29

Moses spent forty days in the mountain with God. When he finally returned to camp with the Ten Commandments inscribed on stones, he had to cover his face because it shone with the glory of God (Exodus 34:33). Moses shone with the tangible presence of God—everyone who looked at Him knew He had been with God.

If you will leave everything else behind-.-.-.-if you will be bold and persevere in your times of prayer, God will meet with you and talk to you just as He did with Moses. Second Corinthians 3:14-18 tells us that the veil covering our hearts is removed when we turn to the Lord and reflect His glory.

Stay in the mountain with God until you shine with His glory. Don’t leave your house without His presence. Get in the mountain with God and receive His glory. Remember that you reflect His glory; you do not shine with your own glory.

Jesus, I declare Your glory. I desire to stay in
Your presence so that I may reflect
Your glory. Change me from
glory to glory. Amen.
