Increase Your Faith for Miraculous Results

Do you believe in miracles? It’s an interesting question to ask when we’re talking about having faith for miracles. However, I believe many are challenged in believing for miracles, especially for themselves. Why is it easier to believe for miracles for others than for ourselves? Allow me to address both of these issues.

First, we must believe that we serve the God of miracles. The resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead is the greatest miracle known to man. The miracles of God creating the heavens and the earth are the next great miracles. The fact that we are living is God’s miracle of creation; when we think about it, we are surrounded by miracles. It is my opinion that many struggle with miracles because they have watered down the word miracle to include catching a football or getting a promotion at work. As a Christian, we must be careful to reserve the word miracle as a divine move of God.

Now before you stop reading this article because of my explanation about the word miracle, allow me to explain why so many struggle with believing for a miracle for themselves. Although the Bible tells us to pray for our needs, we sometimes feel a little selfish in praying for those needs. We must remember that God wants to hear from us. In the book of James, we are told that we have not because we ask not. Therefore, we must ask for our needs and for the needs of others. Because our God is omnipotent with all power and unlimited ability, we must believe in miracles for everyone; that includes our needs.

During the month of December, my podcast episodes will address our opportunities to increase our faith. We will address the importance of avoiding the victim mentality. We must learn to believe that if God is for us, who can ever be against us? In addition, those who desire greater faith will attain it if they approach it by believing that everything comes from nothing. Our prayer lives must be impregnated with the words, “Calling forth those things that are not as though they are.” To believe means to completely support God’s Word and have faith that He is able to perform a miracle. We must never doubt God’s ability to answer our prayers, regardless of how difficult it may seem to us.

Let me give you a couple of comments in how I believe we should look at miracles. We can never expect anything from God if we spend our lives always claiming that the circumstances we are in are impossible, because nothing is impossible with God. I suggest instead of deciding that something is impossible, pray that God will bring a miracle to you or someone else. We must believe in miracles or we will never see them.

When we believe God is able to use us in praying for others, then we can believe for a miracle. For any need, regardless of how difficult, how impossible it seems to us, God is able. He performs miracles daily all over the world. We are living walking miracles of God: we must always acknowledge it, confess it and believe for miracles to follow those who believe in a miracle-working God.
