I Promise: Jesus Will Never Forget About You

Many times in our lives we feel as though we are forgotten, or as though we have been abandoned. Sometimes we even feel like we are outcasts in society, but God reminds us that He is always thirsting for us. We have not been forgotten by Him.

The Bible, in John 19:28, tells us that “Jesus, knowing that everything was now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, ‘I thirst.'”

Jesus was not just thirsting for water when He said this as He hung on the cross. He was thirsting for souls to be saved and was identifying with those who have been deemed forgotten in society.

How do we know this? Jesus Himself signified that He has not forgotten those who have been abandoned when He said in Matthew 25:40, “as you have done it for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you have done it for Me.”

About 12 years ago, I met a young girl who changed my life forever. Her story of miraculous healing by God and salvation showed me for the first time what Jesus truly meant by “I thirst.”

He meant that He is longing for each and every person to come to Him and for every soul to be saved.

On my podcast, Day of Destiny, I share the story of Rosalie, who I met in 2009 at a leprosorium in the Philippines. I believe her story will inspire you and challenge you to search for the abandoned, forgotten and lonesome souls Jesus is thirsting for.
