Abundant life is not a suffering life. The devil is the one who comes in to steal, kill and destroy! The devil deceived Adam and Eve in the beginning, and he continues to trick people today—even believers. Unfortunately, too many believers let him have dominion over their lives. They may not realize that Jesus already came, so they could experience abundance in every area of their lives now. Not tomorrow, not next week, not next year … but now!
John 10:10 says, “The thief does not come, except to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” So, the question is: Are you going to have an abundant life? Or are you having an abundant life? They are two different things! If you don’t understand that what you need already happened when Jesus came, you are not walking in the fullness of what He has done!
For example, some people believe they are going to get healed. But that’s where they are missing it. Jesus already paid the price for their healing. They must believe they are healed right now. Why would we try to get something we already have? If we think we will get healed at some point in the future, we’re not believing the way we should. We have to take hold of what we already have! Faith takes! When you understand what is already in you, you will recognize the power you possess. Peter and John knew what they had (see Acts 3:1-10).
It’s about what we possess because of the divine exchange. It’s what happened on the cross and on the third day! The third day changed everything … It’s all in His great name and the power in that great name: Jesus Christ. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in you (Rom. 8:11). It’s time to quit looking over your shoulder or down the road for something else to happen—it has already happened!
I believe Jesus is saying to you today, “Arise and walk in My blessings! Rise up in what I already gave you. You can be full of My joy, peace and healing now, and you can remain steadfast without worry! Look to Me, the author and finisher of your faith. It’s already done.”
We serve an abundant God, and as believers, we can live an abundant life. We can have all our needs met. So many do not possess the promises of God. Christ came here to finish the work, to destroy the power of the devil, to set us free and to make it possible for us to become children of God. The price has been paid, and the enemy has been destroyed! Let’s take back what is rightfully ours in Jesus’ name. If we believe to receive, then we don’t wait until we see an outward manifestation. Faith sees the unseen, and faith acts on the Word of God! It doesn’t matter what your circumstances look like; believe the Word anyway—unquestioningly!
