God’s prophetic promise of deliverance is at hand.

Ihave been thinking a lot lately about how bad things have become in this country. Crime is out of control. “Babies” have babies and then kill them. Scientists clone animals, trying to recreate life. Political and financial deception permeate the way the world’s system operates.

Morality is rapidly becoming a thing of the past. There is an overwhelming darkness and idolatry that exist both in the world and in the church. We are ripening to the point of rottenness. Society has become so corrupt that one may wonder: Where is God? Is there any word from the Lord?

It seems as if the wicked are prospering and that there is no stopping them. And the church has its share of half-stepping, unrighteous folk, too. Just because people claim Scripture doesn’t mean they obey it. The same people won’t tithe or submit to God’s Word. They gossip and backbite, lie, cheat and steal.

In their everyday lives, the unrighteous seem to prosper. They own big cars and big homes. They have great jobs with all the right connections. But remember, that’s not how their spiritual lives are.

Leviticus 18:25 says, “For the land is defiled; therefore I visit the punishment of its iniquity upon it, and the land vomits out its inhabitants” (NKJV). In other words, God is about to “relieve His system” by getting rid of the stuff that makes Him sick. And then He’s going to replace it with something righteous.

Have you ever wondered why it took 430 years for Israel to come out of Egypt? They spent 30 years in peace, and then they spent 400 years as slaves making bricks without straw. Some theologians suggest that it gave the Israelites time to multiply from just a handful of people to millions. But I’m suggesting that the primary reason can be found in Genesis 15:16, which says that God was waiting for the cup, or iniquities, of the Amorites to become full.

God waited until the system that He was judging, which was Egypt, was so rotten that even the land would spew them out. He wanted them to prosper in their wickedness because they were unknowingly building storehouses for the righteous.

As the Israelites prepared to leave Egypt, they “had done according to the word of Moses, and they had asked from the Egyptians articles of silver, articles of gold, and clothing. And the Lord had given the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they granted them what they requested” (Ex. 12:35-36). The Egyptians were spoiled, and in the end even the land had rebelled against them. God’s people left with plenty.

Even today God waits for the cup of the Amorites to become full. Not so we’ll leave the land behind, but because He intends for the Amorites to be “vomited out of it.”

In the spiritual realm, God is saying: “Don’t worry. I’m just allowing the rot to ripen, and I’m looking around for some righteous people to move in where the unrighteous have inhabited.”

This means you’re going to move. Don’t worry about your promotion; some folks are going to be pushed out to make room for the righteous. If our government is unrighteous, then that means there are going to be empty seats in Washington, D.C., that will be filled with God’s people. His prophetic promise of deliverance is at hand.

The righteous are being poised to go into the land to inhabit it. It’s payday for those who have suffered and who refused to compromise when everybody else was following the status quo.

But understand that there is a three-step process that God uses to deliver His people: (1) He brings us out of Egypt, or out of our sin; (2) He takes us through the wilderness to get Egypt, which represents sin, out of us; and (3) He takes us into the promised land.

So don’t despair when it looks like what belongs to you is being given to someone else. Tomorrow when you go to work, some of you should stop by the office of the person in charge and peek in. Take a look at your new office. God is sick of the way the unrighteous have been doing things.

No matter what it looks like in the natural, you have not hit a dead end. God has brought us out to take us in. Get ready to move.
