Do You Have Overcoming Faith Like This 8-Year-Old?

Smoke filled the air and the family member’s lungs as fire engulfed their home.

Everyone got out of the house safely—except the youngest member. She was 8 years old.

Her parents could not get to her room on the second story because the fire was so severe.

Outside, the firemen and all the neighbors shouted up to the window, urging her to jump; they would catch her. Still, she was too scared to jump.

Then, she heard his familiar voice. “Sylvie, honey, jump.” As soon as she heard her father’s voice, Sylvie jumped from the second story window and was saved from the fire.

Sylvie had overcoming faith. Sylvie trusted her dad. Sylvie had faith in her father. She knew her father loved her. She believed that if her father told her to jump, then she should obey because he would catch her. She knew her father would not tell her to do anything that would bring any harm to her.

So it is with our heavenly Father. He loves us and will never bring any harm to us or tell us to do anything that would harm us. Listen to this episode of the Wear Scriptures Podcast on Charisma Podcast Network, The Overcomer’s Faith, to see what is required to be an overcomer in today’s world.
