Social Media Poll Shows God Is on the Move

by | Feb 1, 2021 | Prayer & Devotion

I completed a poll on social media asking people to share the word or Scripture the Lord gave them for 2021. The answers were inspiring and challenging, like joy, hope, stand, renewal, listen, unity, sufficient, fearless, holy and many others. One person even said their word was persecution and that they wanted everything they suffered to bring glory to God.

Why does the Lord give us these words and Scriptures? I believe it is to encourage us to fight the good fight of faith. God knows what lies ahead and prepares us to engage in spiritual warfare to overcome the enemy to walk in victory. Don’t have a word or Scripture yet? Press into the Lord during prayer time and ask. I know He will answer.

The word the Lord gave me was “release.” I believe the Lord is going to release His Spirit to overflowing in 2021. He will release new models and ways of doing things because this year will bring us face to face with things we have never seen before. We must stay close to Him and listen carefully.

What will it look like? I do not know. Actually, no one knows. Yet quite a few people who responded to the poll shared they believe God is about to do something new.

In 2 Chronicles 7:14 God declared to Solomon, “If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

This Scripture refers to believers. When we humble ourselves and recognize that God is the answer and our complete source (not a resource out of many, but the only one), then praying and seeking Him becomes a lifestyle. Repentance restores our relationship with the Lord, and He responds with forgiveness and healing. New life transpires. What is new life? Revival!

Are you ready for all that God has in store for 2021? Prepare your heart to receive all that God wants to do in you and through you. He wants to use you. He has created, called and anointed you for such a time as this. Embrace your purpose.
