Have you ever thought about the fragrance of heaven and where it comes from?

Revelation 5:8 says that the 24 elders and four living creatures are carrying golden bowls of incense, and it is a sweet fragrance.

This aroma saturates the atmosphere around the throne. The very last line of this verse reveals where that sweet fragrance originates. Revelation 5:8 (TPT) reads, “And when the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures saw the Lamb had taken the scroll, they fell facedown at the feet of the Lamb and worshiped him. Each of them had a harp and golden bowls brimming full of sweet fragrant incense—which are the prayers of God’s holy lovers.” Your prayers are a sweet fragrance in the presence of God!

How important are our prayers if God is filling the throne room with them? It’s the only earthly addition into that atmosphere—not our works, not our ministries—our prayers! Your prayers are so important that God has created an incense from them—and not just any incense.

Take your favorite fragrance and multiply that by God’s multiplication chart—unimaginable!

We can’t imagine such multiplication far enough. It would be an olfactory overload. It is so good, the Father wants it present all the time!

Look at prayer from heaven’s perspective. Your prayers are an earthly expression rising as incense before that throne of God. Every prayer you pray becomes part of that incense, that sweet fragrance in God’s presence. Your prayers are the heavenly aroma.

What is your heart cry that you are praying today? Learn how you can cultivate that heart cry to fill the heavenly throne room in this episode of New Era Explorers on the Charisma Podcast Network. {eoa}
