How Your Apostolic and Prophetic Worship Will Hurt the Enemy

We are living in a time where it seems that dreams and visions are accelerating. The enemy fights against prophetic insight being poured out according to Joel 2:28-32.

Numerous deliverance ministries have risen up to combat the ‘Pandora’s box’ that was released in 2020. The kingdom of God is advancing victoriously because of what Jesus accomplished on the cross. But as believers in Christ, we must not take for granted that we need to be rooted and grounded in His love and worship Him continually (1 Thess. 5:17).

Elizabeth Tiam-Fook of International Young Prophets gathers prophetic voices across the body of Christ to speak into times and seasons. Whether it is gathering intergenerational prophets in person or broadcasting online, there is an acceleration of prophetic insight when they all come together. And, she hosted a panel of apostolic and prophetic leaders to discuss worship in this new era.

“Generations need to run together,” she says pointing to Biblical evidence from Malachi 4:5-6.

Elizabeth shared in the conversation about worship, “As leaders we need to honor worship leaders and understand how God has made them and equipped them. We need to look at their gifts and be a blessing in their life, letting them flow with the Holy Spirit. But we want holiness and integrity from worship leaders. We also want them to be who God has called them to be.” She continued saying, “Jesus is our ultimate example. We can’t let social media be our example, as there are biblical requirements to be musicians and worship leaders.”

With profound revelation and insight Ray Hughes said, “We need a life of worship. The sound of worship should flow from faithfulness. Faithfulness is where the sound is. It is carrying the legitimate and ultimate expression of who God is and calls you to be. As unique as you are, we do not need to imitate or emulate others. Imitators and emulators will eventually become imposters. We are looking for a life of worship that carries all the overflow of our worship.”

Worship artist Catherine Mullins shared from her heart, “Culturally in the Church there are mixed messages and an attack of culture against the Body of Christ. In the Church we need to speak truth and stand on truth. Matthew 7 says a good tree cannot produce bad fruit. There is a mixture currently and is nothing new. But in order to be a worship leader, a non-negotiable is holiness. We have to attack the mixture head on as the world is desperate for a fresh drink from Heaven. We cannot give polluted water to people.”

Catherine further said, “God is called ‘holy’ over 400 times in scripture. He is calling this generation to His holiness and calling out the mixture. We’re at this divine moment right now where God, in His grace and mercy, is exposing things not to hurt us but to heal us. We must heed the warnings in Scripture and see that holiness matters. If we love Him we must obey Him.”

Ray Hughes concluded the conversation giving profound revelation for the United States and where we find ourselves in this season. He said, “As challenging as the times have been, they’ve also created an honest desperation that is worthy to pay our attention to. The enemy would love to isolate us for his purposes, but we are to carry intimacy, intention and intensity. We must have solitude with the Lord but we’ve been introduced to a new era in the kingdom. With this will come a new sound, a new song and a new language. It’s coming out of heaven and people with intimacy and intensity will carry it.”

If you are hungry and want to be taken to new levels of worship and intimacy with King Jesus, watch the broadcast from International Young Prophets and then worship Him. Emerge from your daily worship carrying the kingdom everywhere you go in a worship lifestyle.
