How This ‘Praying Prophet’ Learned to Connect to the Spiritual Realm

It was an honor to have Jennifer Eivaz, the “praying prophet,” as a guest on my podcast Adventures in the Spirit on the Charisma Podcast Network. We had a great conversation, and we started talking about her salvation experience and how she stepped into her calling for prophetic ministry.

Jennifer said, “I was very connected to the spiritual realm as a kid. I could see into the spiritual realm, mostly demonic stuff. Seeing and having spiritual sight was not abnormal for me; it just wasn’t sanctified.”

She continued, saying, “The Holy Spirit began talking to me, and I would start to see things. There was a point in time where He would take me and very specifically say, ‘What do you see?’ And I would tell Him what I saw spiritually. I understood that it wasn’t what I saw naturally. … I would speak back to Him, ‘This is what I see,’ and then eventually once we got that dialed in, He would say, ‘What do you see?’ and I would tell Him. And then He would say, ‘What do you know?’ Over time, I found out I was dialing in to enough information and accuracy. … I didn’t know until later that it was the way He trained Amos and Jeremiah.”

Jennifer and I discussed her book Prophetic Secrets and why it is so important for us to have prophetic wisdom, which she said would be the steps and strategy in place to see a prophetic word come to pass.

She mentioned how prophetic people need structure grounded in Scripture. When we receive a word, vision, dream or other revelation from the Lord, it must be filtered through the Bible. The prophetic community needs to be a bridge between our spiritual experiences and the reasonable, logical and linear theologically minded people.

“I made it a practice to accept mystical experiences, dreams and visions … and we must ask, ‘Where is this in the Bible?’ and cite chapter and verse, and not speak over the heads of people,” Jennifer said.

“We can’t take matters into our own hands to make a prophetic word come to pass,” she said. “There’s always something birthed that shouldn’t be birthed if we did that,” she continued saying, comparing it to Abraham and Sarah trying to make God’s promise come to pass before it’s time.

It was a great conversation, but my podcast is not just about information but also impartation and activation. So I asked Jennifer to lead my viewers and listeners in an activation to see in the Spirit and prophesy.
