In a sense, a pure and hearty spell of laughter defeats the devil because it mocks his assaults against our joy. It isn’t folly, but rather an act of faith in our Father’s ability to take care us. Seek out opportunities to express and share your joy. After all, Psalm 2:4 says, “The One enthroned in heaven laughs” (NIV).

Father, we rejoice in Your gracious goodness and Your incredible mercy. We celebrate You. And we thank You for all the blessings we are privileged to enjoy. Raise the level of our faith, and make our joy contagious. Amen.
