Have you heard, “There is no success without a successor”?

In Bible times, Joshua succeeded Moses. Solomon succeeded King David. I believe the strategy of succession is a kingdom strategy.

We have also seen failure in succession. We will refrain from mentioning family names, but we have witnessed less than excellent outcomes from several central ministries where the succession plans failed.

Succession is not easy, and neither is following in your Father’s footsteps. In this episode of 5-Fold Unplugged, we will look at the success and tensions of a father/son succession plan.

The episode is loaded with wisdom from 29-year-old Brian McDaniels. Brian was raised as a PK, or pastor’s kid, his entire life.

Brian is in succession to take the lead pastor role at LifeBridge Christian Center in Longview, Texas. I, Brian’s father, planted LifeBridge 17 years ago. LifeBridge is a vibrant, growing church with a pre-COVID registry of 1,000 members.

Brian carries an undeniable wit and wisdom that exceeds his Millennial generation. This podcast interview takes several turns in revealing multiple succession strategies that work in both business and ministry. The questions are both scripted and spontaneous, and the leadership content alone is worth your time.

Brian shows remarkable maturity and gives concise answers applicable in all fields of business and ministry. This podcast will add value to ministers, secular leaders, marketplace leaders and pastors.
