Nation of Islam Founder’s Descendant: Jesus Can Save Anyone

As I discuss in my podcast, Growing up Muhammad, it does not matter whether you come from a well-known family like mine or whether you are a Smith. God has a great plan for your generations, just as He did for Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

I am a born-again, spirit filled believer in Jesus Christ. However, Elijah Muhammad, my great-grandfather, the late founder of the Nation of Islam political and religious movement, ingrained his teachings in the minds of his children, especially my grandfather Jabir, the chief business manager for the Nation of Islam and Elijah’s adviser.

Jabir, who was my father’s father, disapproved of my parents’ marriage because my mother was a Christian and several years older than my father. As a result, he disinherited my father. This was significant for the welfare of our family because Jabir was a very wealthy man.

Beyond the high positions he held within the Nation of Islam, he enjoyed financial success from being the longtime personal manager of boxer Muhammad Ali, eventually earning him a position in the Hall of Fame.

Regardless of the fact that I did not grow up in a church, God still saved and delivered me. Don’t give up on your unsaved loved one. No matter what your story is and how many broken pieces are in the foundation of your generations, come and find hope in my story and have faith to know that God is a deliverer, and He will deliver you and your family. {eoa}

Marie Muhammad is one of the great-granddaughters of the most revered leaders in the Black Muslim movement—the late Hon. Elijah Muhammad, founder of the modern-day Nation of Islam. Although Marie was surrounded by the influence of her Muslim relatives, she refused to be trained in the teachings of Islam. She shares more intimately in her newly released book, Overcoming the Shipwrecks of Life on Broken Pieces. She attends the All Nations Worship Assembly, where Apostle Dr. Matthew and Kamilah Stevenson are her leaders. Marie knows firsthand there is only one true God.
