What Does Jesus Say About Women?

(PART 1)

The role of women in the church has been limited by a misunderstanding of Paul’s letters. But Jesus, not Paul, is the head of the church. We need to take our cue from Christ–His teachings and His example.



READ: Matt. 28:1-10; Mark 14:3-9; Mark 16:9; Luke 8:1-3; John 4:4-42; Col. 1:18.
HEART ISSUE: Have you ever thought you couldn’t serve the Lord in a certain capacity because you’re a woman?
PRAYER FOCUS: Father, thank You for making me exactly who I am. Help me to find the place in Your body, the church, where I can serve You best. Amen.

(PART 2)


As women we have an important role to play in God’s eternal plan. To fulfill this role, we must have the faith and courage to follow God’s calling, even in the face of opposition.


READ: Gen. 1:27-28; Acts 2:17-18; Acts 21:8-9; Rom. 12:3-8; Rom. 16:1-6; Gal. 3:28.
HEART ISSUE: How has God called you to serve Him? Is anything keeping you from fulfilling this call?
PRAYER FOCUS: Father, help me to know the call You’ve placed on my life, and give me the courage to pursue it with my whole heart. Amen.
