The Scriptures Cannot Be Broken

In John 10, the Jews challenged Jesus on His identity. They refused to believe that He was the Messiah, the Deliverer of Israel or the Christ, the Anointed One. They accused Jesus of blasphemy and attempted to stone Him because He said He was God’s Son. However, Jesus disputed their accusation by reminding them of Psalm 82:6, where men are referred to as gods. Therefore, why can’t He be the Son of God, the one God the Father had set apart to come into the world to deliver mankind from their bondage to sin and death? The Scriptures cannot be broken or annulled; they must be fulfilled.

Many today also believe that it is blasphemy for Christians to believe that Jesus is the Son of God and God the Son. However, the Scriptures or the sacred text cannot be broken. Jesus Christ is God the Son and the Scriptures tell us that He will return soon. Before Jesus returned to heaven, He told us what would happen in the end times. In Matthew 24 and Luke 21, Jesus tells us that there will be wars and rumors of wars, increased lawlessness, earthquakes, famines and pestilences, etc. However, in the midst of all these events, the good news of the kingdom (the gospel) will be preached throughout the whole world as a witness to all the nations and then the end will come. Listen to this titled episode of Wear Scriptures podcast to see how God fulfilled His purpose and His plan for mankind throughout history and what it means for us as believers to stand on the authority of God’s Word, because the Scriptures cannot be broken. {eoa}
