(PART 1)

The story of Hannah, mother of Samuel, bears witness to what God does in response to prayer and perseverance. Hannah’s story reveals how the strength and power of God Almighty helped one woman of prayer to work through pain, suffering and weakness.

READ: 1 Sam. 1:1-19; 1 Sam. 2:1; 1 Sam. 2:4; 1 Sam. 2:9; Ps. 138:3; Eph. 6:10-18.
HEART ISSUE: Set aside time this week to pray more. Like Hannah, as you become a woman of prayer, you can become a powerful sword in God’s hand.
PRAYER FOCUS: Father, I praise You for Your abiding love, presence and power in my life. Thank You that Your strength, made perfect my weakness, enables me to do great things. Amen.

(PART 2)

Instead of standing by helplessly, waiting for things to get better or to change at all, why not pray? God’s Word is filled with His promises of what prayer—like a mighty weapon in His hand—can do.

READ: Ps. 34:4; Ps. 46:1-3; Jer. 33:3; Zech. 13:9; Matt. 7:11; John 15:7.
HEART ISSUE: If you are a woman of prayer, you are God’s agent of change. In prayer, you have His ear and His heart. Spend time this week praying more throughout each day. Pray for those around you—your family, friends, co-workers and even strangers. Pray for Jerusalem. Pray for America. Be aware that your prayers touch heaven, and as a result, change lives on Earth.
PRAYER FOCUS: Father, thank You for using me as Your vessel and agent of change in this world. Thank You that whenever I call upon You, You hear and listen and answer my prayers. I praise You, Lord, for being faithful. Amen.
