(Part 1)

You may be facing challenges this week that call for you to do something. But before you act, vow to trust the Lord to keep you firmly in Him. God’s Word reveals Christ the Lord as the vine. As you trust and remain attached to Him, as a branch, you can find the ultimate rest. It is not about your doing but about your being in Him that will keep you walking in His victorious peace.

READ: Matt. 11:28; John 15:1-7; John 16: 24; 1 Cor. 1:30; 1 Cor. 16:13; Phil 3:12.

HEART ISSUE:
Allow your soul to rest in Jesus this week. Listen to His voice and gain strength from His presence. Abide—rest—in Him, and you will emerge refreshed, restored and victorious.
PRAYER FOCUS: Lord, thank You that You are the vine and that I, as your branch, draw strength, life and power from You every moment. Amen.

(Part 2)

Trusting in the Lord is a way of living. We learn to abide in Him moment by moment. This is not something we work at, but rather, we “let go and let God,” knowing that He is the One doing it all for us. We have only to trust and move with faith in Him.

READ: Matt. 11:28; Acts 17:28; Rom. 8:11; Rom. 15:13; 1 Cor. 6:19; Gal. 5:22.
HEART ISSUE: Contemplate the phrase “abide in Christ.” Trust that He is making a way for you and strengthening you in His almighty arms.
PRAYER FOCUS: Lord, thank You that You are my Lord, my Savior, my Keeper—in whom I will trust at all times. Thank You that because I am in You, I cannot fail! In You I am blessed, protected and strong. Amen.
