Torrey Harper, pastor, worship leader and senior director of the Global House of Prayer in New York City, shares powerful revelation on a recent episode of Live Your Best Life with Liz Wright on the Charisma Podcast Network. Harper speaks on the importance of worship and the power of hosting the presence of God.

He shares that it all begins with the posture of our heart and being intentional about the one thing that matters most. At Global House of Prayer, the people have been rooted in Psalm 27:4 (NIV): “One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.”

From this place of intimacy, dwelling, abiding in Him, His glory and manifest presence are released. Global House of Prayer sees healings, miracles, signs and wonders, all as the fruit of seeking His heart and glorifying His name. Harper says, “We don’t long for His hand, we long for His heart.”

Torrey believes that in this hour, God is inviting the bride of Christ back to the altar of His presence, to tabernacle with Him. The greatest place of victory for believers comes from knowing who we are as the bride, because any good husband is going to protect his bride. Harper believes, “There is a realm of intimacy that unlocks our identity and our authority in the earth.” Great exploits only come after encounter!

Everything in Scripture is about worship and His presence. The Bible tells the stories of what happened when people worshipped Him and when they didn’t. We are called to intentionally create a space in our hearts where God is Lord and leader. Harper prays we would come around the table of communion with the Lord and tabernacle with Him.
