And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. —Romans 8:28
No matter what obstacle has upset your plans, we have a promise from our Father in heaven: everything works together for good to them that love God.
In everything circumstance, God works for good bringing light out of darkness for us. God can bring good out of the direst circumstances and the most difficult situations. Are you willing to let God work in everything?
While God has given us a free will, He still is sovereign. He knows everything that happens in our lives. Just as an earthly father may allow his child to make decisions while living under his roof, so our Father allows us free choice. You may think you are putting something over on God, but He will take your sinful acts and use them to accomplish His purpose on the earth.
He will even use the deeds of sinners to bring His plan for mankind to pass. He turned the evil of Joseph’s brothers into the salvation of the entire Hebrew nation!
Are you striving to work according to His purpose or yours? Don’t let yourself become upset over any interruptions to your plans, but rather, rejoice that God is in control of the situation.
Lord God, You are in control. You have both the
plan and the ability to accomplish Your plans.
I summit everything to You in order to know
You and live obediently. Amen.
