An American Seer Reveals How God Prepared Ukrainians for War

Prophetic minister Michelle Seidler, the founder and head of Ancient Paths International, says the Holy Spirit gave her a prophetic word about Ukraine well before Russia invaded its neighbor. God told her that he would prepare Ukrainians to persevere and would use the conflict to bring the country into its true position in the Spirit as “a mother to the nations.”

Amid the horrific surge of death and destruction in Ukraine—and “the trauma of it all”—the prophetic word that the Lord gave Seidler was centered on a simple yet profound message: “Set our eyes on Jesus,” even with the temptation to be offended by God’s seeming inaction to stop the war. Seidler has fully embraced Proverbs 3:5b: “Lean not on your own understanding.”

As a well-respected seer who has been ministering regularly in Ukraine for 10 years, Seidler explains in a YouTube video on March 6: “For years, I have traveled back and forth several times a year, traveling all over Ukraine. God was clear to me to teach them to see Jesus. Teach them to see Jesus. That’s what the Holy Spirit would say to me.”

She adds, “In the last year, in traveling in Ukraine, I had one message I couldn’t get away from, everywhere I went, and that was Matthew 24.”

In brief, Matthew 24 depicts when Jesus shows up as the prophet—what Seidler describes as “the manifestation of the prophet”—and prophesies destruction. The Holy Spirit was quick to impress upon Seidler, according to her, “Don’t be deceived. Don’t be offended.”

She says too many Christians can be easily offended by the ways of Jesus and when the Lord sends prophetic words that destruction is coming in order to use extreme pressure to awaken people to who they really are in Christ.

“In our culture, in the church today, if a prophet came in and said that [what Jesus prophesied], we’d say ‘false prophet,'” she goes on to explain in her March 6 video. There is a “mindset” among Christians, she says, that conveys “Jesus only wants to make us feel good.” But Matthew 24 tells a different story.

“Don’t be offended by the nature of Jesus,” says Seidler. “When He does this, it’s because He is perfect love, and His ways are above our ways. We don’t understand His ways.”

You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains. “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved (Matt. 24:6-13, NIV).

Through the conflict, Seidler prophesies, “Ukraine is arising to who she is. She is a mother to the nations. She is maturing. She is growing. She is coming forth to who she is by passing through [the war].”

The spiritual strength that she believes the Lord has increased in many Christians who live in Ukraine has created something special, which will affect the outcome of the war and release a power that will ultimately bring glory to God.

“I see the beautiful spirit and resilience of the people [in Ukraine] to trust Jesus,” Seidler says. “I talk to people in Ukraine every day.” Her message to Ukrainians is laced with love: “You are such an inspiration for people around the world.”

The preparation that God did in Ukraine astonishes Seidler. “I can see the wisdom of God preparing people for what was coming. I look at it today and go, ‘Wow, you’re so kind to prepare.'” She adds, “I thank You, Holy Spirit, that You continue to strengthen the people of Ukraine by Your power.”

She urges people to set their minds on Jesus and, no matter what the outward circumstances appear to be with the destruction in Ukraine, she says it’s “safe to trust Jesus” when you don’t understand. “We want to be intentional about where we put our trust,” she emphasized in her March 6 broadcast.

Ukrainians asked her in September 2021 while she was in Ukraine, “Is the war now?”

They wanted her prophetic insight amid rising tensions and issues that pointed to a Russian invasion last year.

After seeking revelation from the Lord, she told them, “No, it’s coming soon.” (She was right at the time.)

She says she didn’t know the exact time of the invasion, but as a seer, she saw it in the Spirit before it happened—and she is on record saying it publicly in Ukraine.

In the shadow of the Russia-Ukraine war, she also saw a prophetic vision about America.

Although the conflict has exploded in Ukraine, she indicated that a serious form of adversity will hit the U.S. at some point and, when it happens, “We need not be offended by Jesus.” She expects “a great falling away” because “people will not recognize Jesus. They don’t understand what He’s after. They don’t recognize His heart.”

“Everything that happens is to bring us into who we really are,” she adds, pointing to the fact that God has a bigger purpose.
