The Father’s Plan

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. —Psalm 37:23

You are no accident. God looked down through the corridor of time and space. He knew your mother, grandmother, and ancestors ten and twenty generations before them. “And in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them” (Psalm 139:16). He knew where they would have to move and what they would have to do to bring you into existence at exactly the right time.

He told Jeremiah, “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee” (Jeremiah 1:5). God watched as you grew in your mother’s womb. David knew this when he proclaimed, “When I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect” (vv. 15-16).

God knew every event that would take place in your life before you even had a life. You have not been abandoned to run amok like a mouse in a maze, trying to find its way through the labyrinth. Your Father has a plan for you.

Your every thought, feeling, attitude, and action are known to God. He is intimately acquainted with your ways. You are not alone. He is with you always even to the end of the world (Matthew 28:20).

Father, thank You for always being
there for me. I cherish each moment
with You. Draw me unto Yourself.
Amen.
