God’s Equation for Resurrection Power

I believe we are at a point in time where we will see John 14:12 ignite within our lives: “Truly, truly I say to you, he who believes in Me will do the works that I do also. And he will do greater works than these, because I am going to My Father.”

It is exciting, and at the same time, the anticipation of this carries a considerable responsibility. The same power that brought Jesus out of the tomb will be available to us. Are we ready for it? Is it going to be for everyone? That thought is mind boggling to me.

If you believe that we are to model Jesus, and the Bible is a blueprint for our lives, then I believe that the road to the resurrection power, with signs and wonders following, will require from us that which Christ modeled for us.

Throughout Scripture, the roadmap we are to follow is laid out, that we may become prepared vessels to be used for this great outpouring. I believe that we are at a point in time I call a “trumpet call to holiness.” This is a time for preparation for end times, His Second Coming and eternity.

We are being given the choice to go to the next level with Him, laying down our own agendas and plans for His purposes and our destinies.

I believe that there is grace to sustain us where we are, but I believe unless we allow Him to make us holy (set apart for Him), and purify us, we will not get to the stage of empowerment that He has for us.

Again, the choice is ours. For me, I am no longer satisfied with business as usual, and truly the things of this world do not do for me what His touch and His anointing do for me. I feel that what I have experienced is but a small drip of what is actually available.

I believe God is not just looking for servants; He is looking for friends. See John 15:13-16 (NIV).

The disciples were examples of His friends. They were not perfect, but they surrendered all to follow Him, and I believe they are a classic example of the equation the Lord gave me. There are many examples of biblical figures who followed this equation. Abraham, Enoch, Elijah and so forth.

I believe God is calling us into radical obedience and faith. He is calling us to surrender our wills and agendas to Him, for the greater glory He wants for us. Again, the choice is ours.

He is looking for those He can trust with His resurrection power. Think about it: Would we want that kind of power to get into the hands of our enemies? No!

I sense it is the same with Him. I believe He is looking for those who know His voice and would move in obedience right away.

A number of years ago, while ministering in a California women’s prison facility, the Lord started to lay this out for me. He often works in my own life first the things He wants to show me before having me share with others.

It was at a time in my life when I was perplexed by the lack of response to many prayers I had for much needed breakthrough.

He spoke to my heart one day this equation: …
