Do you feel like you are treading through rough waters? Are you suffering many trials that seem to come back to back? Has the trial been long and the burden heavy? God is speaking to you today and He wants you to know that there is GLORY JUST AROUND THE CORNER! God speaks through His Word and the history He has with you and others.
First Peter 4:12-19 The Message:
“Friends, when life gets really difficult, don’t jump to the conclusion that God isn’t on the job. Instead, be glad that you are in the very thick of what Christ experienced. This is a spiritual refining process, with glory just around the corner.
“If you’re abused because of Christ, count yourself fortunate. It’s the Spirit of God and his glory in you that brought you to the notice of others. If they’re on you because you broke the law or disturbed the peace, that’s a different matter. But if it’s because you’re a Christian, don’t give it a second thought. Be proud of the distinguished status reflected in that name!
“It’s judgment time for God’s own family. We’re first in line. If it starts with us, think what it’s going to be like for those who refuse God’s Message! If good people barely make it, What’s in store for the bad? So, if you find life difficult because you’re doing what God said, take it in stride. Trust him. He knows what he’s doing, and he’ll keep on doing it.”
Maybe you have experienced loss and you feel like a chunk of your heart has broken off. Jesus is near to the broken-hearted!
Maybe you have been praying and all of heaven seems quiet! “The Lord your God is in your midst, A victorious warrior. He will rejoice over you with joy, He will be quiet in His love, He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy” (Zeph. 3:17, NASB).
The Lord has heard your prayers and He’s about to cry out. He has been silent but He is about to respond. (Read Isaiah 42:14-16.)
The Powerful One wins battles! God is on YOUR side! He is fighting for you and something SUPERNATURAL is about to take place!
Something is about to shift……….Glory is right around the corner!
Let me tell you God is faithful and what He said He would do, He will do it! He will perform it! “Though it tarries, wait for it!” (Hab. 2:3).
Glory is around the corner! Keep going! Don’t stop reading! God has a Word for you!
There are some things you can do in the natural! But when it’s beyond you, beyond the natural, then it’s time to cry out to God and get ready for the supernatural. When He shows up, He will perform the supernatural things you can’t do; those things that are beyond YOU! You do what you can then …. He will do what you can’t!
I recently interviewed a lady from Vietnam who experienced the trauma of war, death, murder, starvation and extreme loss! Her name was Theit but now she is called Carey!
Carey Rostorfer has a powerful story? Did you know that when she was eight years old, she and her survivors eye-witnessed a miracle? Theit, along with 28 children, walked 500 miles by foot and crossed over treacherous waters in a boat, almost drowned, (they saw others drown) and they were starved near to death! One soldier saw them and felt compassion on all the children. But all he had was one jug of milk (1 quart) and a small loaf of bread. He gave the children all he had. The children drank all the milk they could hold and ate all the bread until they were full! All the children were fed and there was still milk and bread left over. God multiplied the bread and milk! Seriously, you’ve got to hear her full story.
Maybe you feel like you have walked a 500-mile journey and you are weary of the world, tired of the trials and troubles, and hungry for the presence of God!
God is saying to you today, “I will not fail you! I am with you and I will never leave you! I will respond to you at the proper time! Trust Me with the journey because every step you take forward is one step closer to the plan I have for you!”
Praise be to our God who is for you! You will be so inspired by Carey’s story! You’ve got to hear all three episodes.
What God did for her and all those who were leading those children through war, God will do for you in the middle of your war. Remember, glory is just around the corner!
