Confess God’s Promises: Let Your Mouth Help You Move Forward

When going through one of life's valleys, confess God's promises over your life. You will see a difference.

I heard the Lord say today, “There is grace upon grace for the in-between places.”

When we are in our mountaintop moments, it can be effortless to have joy and fulfillment and be in a great state of mind. But what happens when we are in the process or on the path from our last peak to the next?

If our security is dependent on our current surroundings, we will be tied to the ebbs and flows of life. But I believe the Lord is calling us into security in the season to make sure we are stable and fixed in Him.

Over the years, my wife and I struggled with the seemingly last expanse between what God had spoken over our lives, and the conflicting reality we were confronted with daily. We started seeing 555 everywhere we went, and knew the Lord was making the declaration over us, “You have GRACE upon GRACE in these season.” It became our encouragement to keep pressing onward.

“… and He raised us up and seated us together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus” (Eph. 2:6, MEV).

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust.'” (Ps. 91:1-2, MEV).

Those who trust in the Lord shall be as Mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abides forever. As the mountains are around Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds His people, from now and forever” (Ps. 125:1-2, MEV).

Speak to Your Feet
We began to speak these Scriptures out over our lives and declare where we were going, that we were bursting past discouragement, disappointment and that we would see our promise come to pass.

It revolutionized our prayer life and started to affect our perspectives of what we were seeing. Somehow natural circumstances held less weight or influence because truth had embedded itself in us, slowly but surely.

Your mouth is powerful and I believe it is the vehicle that will move your forward. Just as the world was created with words, so is your mouth anointed and packed with creative power to MOVE you into your promise.

I love the story of the 10 spies in Numbers 13, and how they came back from the Promised Land each with their own report. All except Joshua and Caleb had negative things to say. But something was different about these two men that seemed to influence their perspective.

While the others saw giants, these two men of God saw opportunity!

Hope at Midnight
I believe God is breaking past cycles of discouragement in your life that have debilitated you and affected your hope gauge. Maybe you have enough hope to believe that God can do amazing things for others, but not for you. Maybe you can see some good taking place, but you fear it won’t last long.

The goodness of God is a marker of this year and if you haven’t seen it yet, it only means it is coming! Get into hope today; get your hopes up. As you seek Him in your valley, he is healing your eyes of hardship and giving you sight to see the horizon again.

“Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever” (Ps. 23:6, MEV).

You will see the lavish abundance over your life this year that will overhaul your heart and cause you to come up higher. Position your heart in hope today, even if your feet are still moving. Hold onto your promise and SPEAK to your feet, “I am moving ahead despite what I see, and the blessing of the Lord is over me!” {eoa}
