Prophecy: We Must Pray, ‘Lord Jesus, Come’

War exploded between Russia and Ukraine like a sudden volcanic eruption. Before we could comprehend what had occurred, we heard threats of nuclear war.

Without warning we had reentered the Cold War and potential annihilation.

Yet, had we not been told of this global event in the prophecies of the Bible? Had Jesus not spoken to us 2,000 years ago of what we are now seeing happen around the world in preparation for His return?

On March 17, 2022, I experienced what I believe was a Holy Spirit revelation of what we are seeing in biblical prophecy. I share this word in humble obedience and with a sense of dread for I do not wish to give a false word concerning the return of Jesus.

I do not claim that I am infallible in prophecy. My only desire is to be truthful to God and to awaken people to the season of being ready and alert to the signs we have been given in the Bible.

This is what I experienced on the night of March 17, 2022, a few weeks after the Russian invasion of the Ukraine:

“I write these words tonight because I cannot hold back what I believe I have received from the Holy Spirit. A deep, ominous sense of darkness came over me concerning the world situation. It is very, very bad.

“Something evil has been released across this earth, as though the four winds and the four horsemen have been released in Revelation; as though permission to the demonic has been given to reap destruction on the earth, (pray for revelation), beyond what we have ever seen on a global scale.

“Our leaders are blind and deceived. They cannot see what must be done, concerning the very survival of humanity. The wisdom and courage that comes from God is withheld from them. Only God can bring about the intervention that we need.”

“How do we prepare for what is coming?” I asked God.

Faith in Jesus and repentance of our sinful ways and our lawlessness came to me.

“Awaken the world to the salvation of Jesus Christ.

“Pray for salvation. Yet, many will not repent. Do not be discouraged. Keep asking, seeking and knocking.”

A further response was given: “Study the Bible, pray for divine revelation, read Matthew 24, 25, read Revelation. Have faith and believe, become a messenger of hope. Know the season in which we live. Watch and be ready. Be faithful and wise. Develop an intimacy with Jesus, and use all you have to prepare the way for His return.”

Pray, “Lord Jesus, come!”

I truly believe these words of prophetic interpretation I received that night. We are in the midst of the season of His return. Jesus expected us to know this time, as He shared in Matthew 24, the parable of the fig tree.

We cannot ignore that God has regathered the Jews from the four corners of the earth back to Israel. Nor can we dispel that Israel has been reborn as a nation or that Jerusalem is no longer trampled by the Gentiles. Jesus said this would put us in the final generation of His return.

If what He prophesied of the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple in A.D. 70 came true, can we not deduce that His prophecies on His return will be just as accurate?  The signs are all there for us to see in the global events we have witnessed in the last 100 years.

How much more evidence do we need to admit the truth of biblical prophecy in a way that impacts how we live in a world of secular humanism, to warn the Jews and Gentiles of Jesus’ imminent return? Pray and meditate, seek God in humble desperation and say to Him, “Here am I, use me to prepare the way for our King to come to remove all evil and rebellion from the world and to restore a new heaven and a new earth.”

Paul wrote in Romans that the night is over. The day of Jesus’ return has come. We have work to do for our Master. Let us be faithful to give Him our best in all we do to fulfill His vision for the redemption of the world.

What does that look like in your life?  {eoa}
