“Witches are apparently casting a spell on Donald Trump,” reported the Boston Globe on Feb. 24, 2017
It’s called a binding ritual, which, they say, is the spiritual equivalent of a judge blocking the president’s actions. The article even gives links to which organizations took part such as W.I.T.C.H. Boston. Can you even imagine media outlets printing an occultist spell against our president? Can you further imagine the media giving a witch’s hints on how to put a curse on your president?
You might expect this in a nation where Voodoo is venerated but not the United States.
1 Samuel 15:23: “For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft.”
2 Kings 9:22: Jehu spoke about “Jezebel and her sorceries.”
Notice the word “sorceries” is plural; that means there are at least two distinct types or levels of witchcraft. Paul tells us in Galatians 5:19-20, the first category, the lowest level of witchcraft, begins as a work of the flesh (the desire to control others.) Some wish so hard to control, they will resort to occult practices such as spirit-cooking, Ouija boards and binding rituals.
Unless a person repents, witchcraft will then move into a preternatural and dangerous level, attracting the realm of the demonic to the one practicing the first level of witchcraft. In other words, witchcraft as a work of the flesh will quickly shift into the demonic form of witchcraft and could lead to demon possession or deep demonic oppression in the one practicing it.
The Bible says that in the last days evil will wax worse and worse (2 Tim. 3:13).
Witches today are uniting to rid the planet of President Trump through demonic incantations. They say additional spells will continue to be cast until Trump is no longer president.
A watchman on the wall, Jan Markell says, “Christians should band together and pray against the entire Antichrist agenda.”
What genuine Bible-believing Christians must do now:
1. Conduct spiritual warfare on behalf of our president and our nation
1 Timothy 2:1-3: “Therefore I exhort first of all that you make supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings for everyone, for kings and for all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceful life in all godliness and honesty, for this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior.”
Ephesians 6:11-12: “Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For our fight is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.”
Intercession: (Greek) Enthunchano—praying for people but also praying against evil and the forces of darkness
Get together with other Spirit-filled believers, remembering that greater is He (the Holy Spirit) in you that he (the devil) that is in this world (1 John 4:4). As you pray over your meals, make it a point to follow Paul’s admonition to pray for those in authority. Ask God to help our president and that any curse would reverse.
2. Remember, the curse without cause shall not come
Proverbs 26:2b: “”the curse without cause will not alight.”
The Bible teaches the law of the boomerang.
Proverbs 26:27: “Whoever digs a pit will fall into it, and he who rolls a stone, it will return upon him.”
Haman, Balaam, Ahithophel and Judas Iscariot all sought to curse that which was blessed by God, and it cost them their lives.
3. Pray for those trapped in New Age occultism and witchcraft.
They haven’t found the supernatural power of the living God through Jesus Christ.
We live in a high-risk time. If we give up now, our nation will be lost. But if we, like Gideon, King David and the apostles, trust in the living God and take our positions as ambassadors of God’s kingdom, we’ll see a great revival, huge advances and a secure future in the Lord. {eoa}
