Prophecy: The Open Doors of Revelation

“After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, ‘Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.’ Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne set in heaven, and One sat on the throne” (Rev. 4:1-2, NKJV).

Recently, the Lord has been speaking to me about openings and open doors. I am also hearing other prophetic voices talking about things like doors of opportunity and windows of opportunity, but I feel prompted to release what it is that the Lord has been showing me about openings.

One of the things the Lord has highlighted to me concerning open doors is that they represent doors of revelation. I see this as not just revelation as to what God is saying and doing in the earth at this time, but also revelation to you as an individual regarding what your part in His plans are, and the specific strategies needed in order for you to execute them.

Perry Stone: Can Animals Sense the Spirit World?

Opponents of the Bible are certainly skeptics of what happened in the Garden of Eden. And they certainly doubt that a serpent could ever have the ability to speak to Eve in order to deceive her.

But that one portion of the Scripture in Genesis, Voice of Evangelism Ministries Founder Perry Stone says, is the beginning of the truth of God’s Word and the very reason why sin came into the world.

And then there’s the story of the “talking” donkey in Numbers 22, whom God used to correct the prophet Balaam’s actions to make him obedient to God’s instruction.

You Don’t Have to Pray Long to Get God’s Attention

In my early years, I was tempted to believe that prayers must be long, drawn-out and intense in order to be effective. I put a lot of pressure on myself. I even tried a 10-day fast.

But as I grew spiritually, I discovered that prayers are sometimes answered quickly, even if they are short. Once I stood in my front yard during a bad storm and asked God to divert a tornado. I didn’t have time to pray for hours. I later learned that the twister had jumped over our neighborhood, and we were spared.

A few weeks ago, I had a $15,000 need for one of my overseas missions projects. The day I prayed about it, someone from Texas called me and said she wanted to give half of the amount needed. Two days later, a person I hadn’t talked to in more than 30 years called and said he wanted to give the other half.
