The foundation for our perception of truth has to become God’s Word if we ever intend to have a consistent walk of faith. Our ever-changing emotions are totally unreliable.

Trusting in the final authority of the Scriptures and the leading of God’s Spirit has everything to do with victorious living. The world we live in is hostile to our beliefs and our way of life, so daily it is necessary to re-establish our hearts and minds in righteousness.

Thus, the renewing of our minds according to the Word of God is an ongoing process requiring discipline and courage. But there is the enabling of the Spirit–the Helper on the inside, who was sent to give us wisdom, strength and the power to overcome the world.

READ: Ps. 91:1-12; Is. 26:3-4; Rom. 8:5-9; Rom. 12:1-2; Eph. 4:17-24; Eph. 5:15-21.
HEART ISSUE: Perhaps you’ve wondered why victory in certain areas eludes you. Choose today a promise of God and cling to its truth until it becomes your reality.
PRAYER FOCUS: Father, bring supernatural release from the deep wounds that have led to emotional struggles for so many of us. Show us how to draw upon Your strength and be led by the Holy Spirit in all we do. Deliver us from harmful thought processes, influences and behavior patterns. Thank You for the freedom we can find in Your name. Amen.
