The Master is Merciful

(PART 1)

We encounter situations daily when we might not always measure up how others think we should, or how we ourselves think we should. But through it all, God and His love for us are still the same. We are still loved unconditionally and are still covered and protected by His awesome presence!

READ: Deut. 31:6; Deut. 33:12; Ps. 145:8-9; Matt. 11:29; John 3:16; 2 Pet. 1:1-4.
HEART ISSUE: Pause and luxuriate in the truth that the Lord loves you very much. It matters not what others think. You are precious to the Lord. Search His Word and you will encounter much proof.
PRAYER FOCUS: Lord Jesus, I thank You for dying for me on the cross so that I may live eternally with You. Thank you for loving me through life’s successes and failures and for always being with me. Let me never forget Your kindness or take for granted your new mercies each day. Amen.

(PART 2)

No matter how far we fall short of doing the right thing (and doing it well in our own eyes and in the eyes of others), the Lord is faithful. He is with us, and will lovingly correct and restore us when we fail. God’s Word testifies to His unfailing, unconditional love for us. This gives us great hope as we walk through the demands of daily life.

READ: Ex. 34:6; Lam. 3:22-23; Ps. 23; Ps. 100: 5; Ps. 103:4; Ps. 117:2.
HEART ISSUE: In your prayer time, take a walk down memory lane and recall times when the Lord’s kindness and mercies were present in your life. Thank Him that He is still the same kind and merciful Lord today.
PRAYER FOCUS: Lord Jesus, I thank You for Your mercies that are new every morning. Your kindness and love are sustaining me, empowering me at all times, and lifting me up. I am so grateful that You are in my life, and I give praise to You. In Your precious and powerful name, Amen.

Pentecost: Holy Living for Our Holy God

In 1 Thessalonians, chapter 4, the apostle Paul instructed the believers, by the authority of the Lord Jesus, about “how you are to walk and to please God.” He bluntly told them it was “God’s will” for them to “avoid sexual immorality” (v. 3; NIV). The Greek word Paul...
