(Part 1)

There is nothing so fulfilling as serving Jesus Christ, representing Him with your finest gifts and talents. But perhaps even more important than offering your gifts is humbly yielding yourself to Him. God’s Word provides passages that direct you in servanthood, in living a life of yieldedness and obedience.

READ: Ps. 84:10; John 21:18-19; 1 Cor. 1:27; 2 Cor. 4:7; Phil. 4:11-13; Rom. 12:1-2.
HEART ISSUE: Allow the Lord to minister to you through His Word and Spirit, directing you to serve Him more by being more yielded and obedient. Consider how the more you seek to serve Jesus in yielded ways that please Him, the more you will serve like Jesus.
PRAYER FOCUS: Father, thank You for Your ever-abiding love and grace that encourage and enable me to serve You daily in an obedient manner that pleases You. Amen.

(Part 2)

As a believer, you are in the ministry of Jesus. You are called to serve His great plans and purposes, whether you are a professional clergy or layperson. This means that Jesus has called you to be His voice and to be a leader. God’s Word shows how to persevere to serve Him and to serve like Him.

READ: Ps. 37:4; Is. 40:31; Zech. 4:6; Matt. 16:24; John 19:30; Rom. 8:17; Phil. 2:1-11; 2 Tim. 4:6-8.
HEART ISSUE: Ponder what it means to serve Jesus—and what you, as His minister, feel led to do in His service. Let your heart be melted and molded, so that as you serve Him, the world will see Him through you.
PRAYER FOCUS: Father, thank You for shaping and molding me daily so that I can move and act with the compassion of Jesus. Thank You for showing me how to walk in His steps so that I will model Jesus when I lead others to follow Him. Amen.
