Moments of Holy Visitation

Knowing God stimulates our hunger to know Him more. We will increase in wisdom and anointing to the degree that we cultivate an atmosphere that always yearns for and welcomes His presence. In The Pursuit of God, A.W. Tozer wrote, “Acute desire must be present or there will be no manifestation of Christ to His people. He waits to be wanted. Too bad that with many of us He waits so long, so very long, in vain.”

Each of us should live expecting that God can, at any moment, break through and change us forever. In moments of visitation, heaven seems nearer, and God’s truth becomes more real.

The Lord desires, and is certainly worthy of, first place in our lives. It’s amazing how much of Himself He will pour into us if we are faithful to give Him time and opportunity.

READ: Gen. 28:10-22; Gen. 46:1-6; 1 Sam. 3:1-19; Acts 9:3-9; Acts 16:9-10 2; Cor. 12:1-4.
HEART ISSUE: Though we can’t orchestrate visitations from God, we do have the responsibility to establish the right environment for Him to move. What changes must take place in your life in order to make it more inviting for the Spirit of the Lord?
PRAYER FOCUS: Father, cause us to be willing to part with every distraction and seek Your face. We love Your presence and invite You to dwell in us in all Your fullness. Amen.
