Sometimes it is the most desperate places in life where we learn the most valuable lessons. Often, these lessons consist of things we think we know. We believe that we understand what it is to forgive. Mercifully, most of us are never put to the ultimate test. But the Scriptures tell us of the Son of God, who showed us how far love could go. He is our example when we are tried, and by His strength, we can respond in genuine loving forgiveness that is beyond our human capabilities.

READ: Matt. 5:38-41; Matt. 5:43-45; Luke 6:27-36; Luke 23:33-34; Rom. 12:17-21; 1 John 4:18.
HEART ISSUE: Can you recall a time in your life when God filled your heart with supernatural love and forgiveness for someone who had mistreated you?
PRAYER FOCUS: Father, thank you for Your power at work in us. Without it, we could not comply with Your commands. But Your grace can overwhelm our frailties, and You are strong in us when we are weak. Help us to exhibit the unconditional love and forgiveness that identify us as Christians. Thank You for Your patience and strength. Amen.
