How a Great Awakening Will Lead to Kingdom Reformation in Our Culture

Over the past month or so, I have had the opportunity to hear many leaders affirm revival is here. On my Glory Road TV show, I have the blessing to interview some amazing apostolic and prophetic voices for the kingdom.

There seems to be a consensus that revival is here and that, even during these times of great darkness, we are seeing the sovereign move of God in the glory exhibited by amazing signs and wonders happening from street encounters to tent meetings and church services—and in any setting where two or more are gathered. The harvest is ripe for the people to receive Jesus.

This past week, I attended the Harvest International Ministry Global Summit: Advance As One conference in Pasadena, California. I was amazed at the leaders like Ché Ahn, Mario Murillo, Bill Johnson, Cindy Jacobs and other keynote speakers who emphasized our need as the people of God to stand up and step into the power of the risen church.

Though a great darkness covers the earth, the people of God must stand and be the church during this time. Ahn, Founder of Harvest Rock Church and HIM, also shared five pillars to a new initiative called Revive California. This fivefold strategy, to see historic revival and reformation come to California focuses on prayer, leadership, evangelism, ekklesias and reformation of society.

As part of the final pillar, Ahn encouraged believers to get involved in governmental leadership in their local communities. The strategy he believes most effective is that if we are to see change, then we must impact government at the local, state and national levels.

Tony Kim, U.S. National Director of HIM, personally shared some of Harvest International Ministry’s strategy with me, which is to impact the individual states with a revive campaign. California will be the first state with their Revive California initiative, then other states will follow.
